With an Expandi Post Engagement campaign, you send a connection request with a personal note to the people who engaged with a post, from your own LinkedIn account. All of it runs inside the limits you set.
How to format a LinkedIn post
LinkedIn shows the first lines of a post and hides the rest behind “…see more”. On a phone that’s roughly 140 characters, so the opening decides whether anyone reads on.
Make the first line count
Put the point, the number or the question above the fold, and save the setup for later.
Bold a word, not a paragraph
Bold and italic are special characters. Screen readers can stumble on them, and LinkedIn search doesn’t index them.
Give it room
Short paragraphs and line breaks read faster on a phone than one long block of text.
LinkedIn post hook examples
Four openings that fit above “…see more” on a phone, so the point lands before anyone has to tap.

Is the LinkedIn post formatter free?
Yes. The formatting and the preview are free, with no details asked. The three stronger openings ask for your work address first.
How do you make text bold on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn has no native bold. Bold and italic text on LinkedIn are special Unicode letters: they look right on most devices, but screen readers may skip them or read each one out as a symbol, and LinkedIn search doesn’t index them. Use them on a word, not a paragraph.
Where does LinkedIn cut off a post?
LinkedIn doesn’t publish it. Measured in September 2026: about 210 characters or 3 lines on desktop, and about 140 characters on a phone. It moves, so treat the preview as a close guide, not a ruler.
How long can a LinkedIn post be?
Up to 3,000 characters. The counter in the formatter shows how close you are.
What happens with my details?
If you ask for openings, you get them, and now and then a practical tip on LinkedIn outreach. Nobody from sales calls you unless you ask.
